There are a lot of great math websites for kids on the web. Below are my 10 favorite educational math sites for kids.

BBC Education from the UK has a selection of flash math games. Topics include numbers, data collection, algebra, and shape/space/measurement.


Look at this cool math game directory. It lists all the games they have on their site and what category. Categories include: numbers, strategy, puzzles, memory, skill, shapes/colors, etc. The Cool Math For Kids website also has math lessons. It includes math lessons for pre algebra/algebra, pre-calculus, and arithmetic.


CTK Math has a variety of math games, puzzles, and activities for kids. This isn’t your typical kids math site. It cover more complex and a diverse math concepts.
There are activities for younger children and older elementary children.


This site has worksheets, games, and information for kids, parents, and teachers. This site has links to math games all over the web. Topics include: probability,statistics, measurement, arithmetic, numbers, geometry, and fractions.

This is a fun typing site. Kids are given instruction and can practice basic and more advanced typing skills.


This site has 4 typing games. They include: the typing of the ghosts, cup stacking, typing monster, and typing speed test.


This is a great little keyboarding game. You must click the highlighted letter on the keyboard.


This site has 20 different flash media typing games. Some include: typing test, type revolution, crazy keys, and key master.


On this site you race to see who can type fastest. You can practice and race against others to get the highest scores.

Best Music Websites For Kids

There are a lot of great music websites for kids on the web. Many have free games and activities that teach music appreciation, history, reading music, instruments, and more. Below are 10 great music sites for kids. I feature 26 kids music sites in my book 500+ Educational Websites for Kids

Kids can learn about composers, listen to classical music, and play online games. Games are about composing, naming notes, and rhythm.


At this site kids can learn and hear different instruments, learn to read music, learn about different music genres, and learn about music history.

The Drum Nut sight has everything you want to know about drums. The site has drum videos, games, music, and information. They have a section under games that lists dozens of different virtual drum games kids can play online.


Fun Brain has three different music related games. (1) The Piano Player – Kids are shown notes and must play the right note on the piano. This game helps teach reading music. There is a beginner, intermediate, expert, and virtuoso level. (2) Scramble-Saurus – kids unscramble instrument and composer names. (3) Stay Afloat – Kids are given a letter and must guess the word before their boat sinks. The music categories are instruments, composers, and recording.


At this PBS Kids page, kids can learn about jazz history and jazz musicians. Kids can also make their own jazz music.
